No Strings Attached?
Personally, I believe that two people of the opposite sex can be just friends. In my own experiences, having more friends that are guys rather than girls, you get to the point where you learn a ton about each other and connect pretty deeply with them, but you wouldn't ever want to risk any sort of ruination of the friendship. Although I believe that you can be just friends with the opposite sex, in many instances I also think that at some point one of you will develop feelings for the other person; sometimes that person ends up feeling the same way and everything works out, but other times they don't, and it gets awkward and you aren't as close as you once were. It's pretty complicated if you ask me, the human heart is like that. You never know what to think when it comes to having feelings for someone, especially someone you are very close with; you know a ton about them, such as what they want in a relationship, etc., but you wouldn't want to risk things getting messed up between you two if you try to have something more with them and things don't work out. In the past, things have gone both ways for me, but it hasn't happened very often that I do develop feelings for a good friend of the opposite sex. Mostly, I think that when you get attached on a sisterly and brotherly level with the person, it'd just be too weird for both of you to date.
